These cables are specifically designed for the purpose of runway marking in airports.
Construction:
Conductor: Stranded copper, either bare or tinned
Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
Shield: Semi-conductive tape plus copper tape
Sheath: Polyethylene (PE) or PVC
Additional: Extruded semi-conductive layer
Specifications:
Nominal Voltage: 1.8/3 kV or 3.6/6 kV
Conductor: Stranded copper of Class 2
Maximum Permissible Temperature:
PVC: 70°C (continuous)
XLPE : 90°C (continuous)
